YC-backed compliance startup Delve faces new allegations from an anonymous whistleblower (DeepDelver) that it forked Sim.ai's open source agent-building tool SimStudio, rebranded it as 'Pathways', and presented it to prospects as its own work without proper Apache license attribution or any commercial agreement with Sim.ai. Sim.ai's CEO confirmed Delve had no license agreement and that Sim.ai was actually a paying Delve customer. The controversy compounds earlier allegations of fake compliance data and rubber-stamp auditors. Delve has scrubbed related pages from its website, its media contact no longer works, and the story has become a trending topic on X.
