Google Cloud is rebranding and expanding its AI platform under the Gemini Enterprise umbrella, positioning it as an end-to-end system for building, deploying, and governing AI agents at enterprise scale. The platform includes three main components: the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform (an evolution of Vertex AI) for developers to build and orchestrate agents using tools like ADK, MCP, and A2A protocols; the Gemini Enterprise app for knowledge workers to create no-code agents and manage workflows; and an open partner ecosystem with agents from Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and others available via an Agent Gallery. New capabilities include Memory Bank for persistent agent context, Agent Identity with cryptographic IDs for auditability, Agent Gateway for secure inter-agent communication, Model Armor for prompt injection protection, Agent Simulation for pre-deployment testing, and Canvas for collaborative document editing with Microsoft 365 interoperability.
