JetBrains has launched the MPS 2026.1 Early Access Program. Key changes include migration to IntelliJ Platform 2026.1, JDK 25, and Kotlin 2.3 with restored KLib-based Kotlin stubs support. New features include natural language-aware name policy checking via Grazie integration, multi-line splitting of binary operations in the editor, a new read-only-inspector boolean editor style, transitive dependency support in Build Language, more reliable migrations using recorded module descriptor dependencies, several long-standing Java stubs bug fixes, a modernized MPSProject lifecycle mechanism, and Wayland as the default display protocol on supported Linux systems.
