Apple's MacBook Neo has received praise from iFixit as the most repairable MacBook in approximately 14 years. The key improvement is the battery design: instead of being glued in place, it sits in a tray secured by 18 screws, making replacement significantly easier. Other repairability wins include a flat disassembly tree, a cooperative Repair Assistant that accepts replacement parts, and easier display and keyboard replacement. Despite these improvements, iFixit gave the Neo a 6/10 repairability score due to soldered RAM and storage — but noted that for a MacBook, this is a strong result.
