The general trend of macOS releases over the past few years is that it has been moving closer and closer to the look and feel of iOS. Widgets! They intelligently tint based on the color of your desktop, and they’re available for various Apple apps, including Safari, Contacts, and Podcasts.

Developers keep deluding themselves Macs are still addressing them. Keep on dreaming.

The updates for OSX is very minimal these days I find. Look at nodes they still don’t have Markdown or syntax highlighting for a note.

It is the old desire of convergence where Windows failed, maybe in a far future they leave unix macOS to join iPadOS and iOS to control everything like a store which only accepts Apple Pay.
