Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2026 has selected 1,141 contributors from 15,245 applicants across 131 countries, who submitted a record 23,371 proposals. The program involves 184 mentoring organizations and over 2,000 mentors and org admins. Contributors will first go through a 3.5-week Community Bonding period before the official coding phase begins on May 25, 2026.
