The Ivors Academy is launching a new dedicated ceremony called the Ivors Composer Awards, which will recognise composers across film, television, live performance, commercial recordings, and video games. British, Irish, or UK-resident composers can submit eligible works starting June 1, 2026, with winners receiving an Ivor Novello Award. The ceremony will be held at Grosvenor House in London on November 17, 2026, as part of Ivors Composer Week. Video game music has been recognised at the Ivor Novello Awards since 2010, when Killzone 2 won the inaugural games category.
