<p>But here’s the problem: this isn’t just cringey; it’s corrosive.
It’s muddying the waters for people trying to hire, collaborate, or grow in the tech space.</p>
<p>We’ve created a landscape where words like “Full Stack” and “UI/UX” mean everything-and nothing.</p>
<p>Let’s unpack why this happened, why it’s a problem, and what needs to change.</p>

<h2>The Problem with Inflated Tech Titles</h2>
<h3>When “Full Stack” Stops Meaning Anything</h3>
<p>Being Full Stack used to mean something.
It implied fluency across front-end, back-end, databases, APIs, and DevOps. Not just using frameworks-but understanding architecture. Not just deploying apps-but designing resilient systems.</p>

You install a plugin or stitch two services together, and suddenly, you’re full stack.</p>
<p>The irony?
Most self-proclaimed Full Stack devs haven’t even debugged a memory leak, let alone scaled a service under real traffic.</p>
<h3>The UI/UX Catch-All</h3>
<p>It’s the same story with UI/UX.
Design a few mockups? Welcome, designer. Use Figma and some Material UI? You’re now an experience architect.</p>
<p>But UI and UX aren’t interchangeable. UI is visual. UX is behavioral. One deals with screens. The other, with psychology.</p>
<p>Real UX work includes journey mapping, user interviews, A/B testing, and interaction design. Not just aligning buttons.</p>
<p>When you blur that line, you don’t just misrepresent your skill-you dilute what good design actually means.</p>

<p>Now every gig poster asks for a “Full Stack Rockstar who knows DevOps, UI/UX, and can make coffee.”</p>

<p>LinkedIn, Upwork, Fiverr-every platform rewards self-branding. The algorithm doesn’t check your GitHub commits. It just sees the title you picked.</p>
<p>And in a global marketplace, if one person fakes it and gets work, others follow to stay competitive.</p>

<p>We’ve all seen it.</p>
<p>A founder hires a “Full Stack Dev” who turns out to be a glorified WordPress installer. Two months later, nothing works, the deadlines are missed, and the trust is gone.</p>

<p>It’s not perfect, but it’s a shift. From “what tools do you use” to “what problems do you solve.”</p>

<p>Don’t just say “Full Stack.” Show how you architected an app from scratch, how you chose your stack, or how you handled performance bottlenecks.</p>

<h3>2. Focus on Outcomes</h3>
<p>Instead of “Built X,” say: “Increased checkout speed by 40% with API optimizations.”</p>
<p>Impact matters more than tech stacks. Businesses care about results, not libraries.</p>
<h3>3. Specialize, Then Expand</h3>
<p>Want to become Full Stack? Great. But start with one stack and <strong>go deep</strong>.
Don’t juggle five frameworks before you’ve mastered one.</p>
<p>Similarly, don’t claim UX mastery until you’ve run real user tests or built flows that reduced friction.</p>
<p>Build credibility before collecting titles.</p>

The Issue of Full Stack

<p>Now I finally now, how I find dozens of full-stack developers after lifting some random rock from the park.</p>


<p>you are absolutely right, the point is it’s a very competitive environment and for non-technical this is a huge a bonus i will get 1 person with slightly higher salary and expect him to do job of 4 persons, sadly some people just want to start their career so they proclaim they can do this and it ends with a disaster, also being full stack doesn’t mean master all fields in most cases i see full stack developers is either very good front end developers who can build a crud application and ci/cd or server masters who can use js framework to build a saas or dashboard and ci/cd</p>
<p>but on the end companies specially startups would hire a fresh full stack than a mid backend/frontend they expect the developer to do both sides efficiently  and from the developer side i just wanna say i have good basic knowledge on both fields</p>


<p>Is this text intended for developers? If so, you shouldn’t do that. As you say in your text, it’s shameful to try to find people who are experts in everything.</p>
