Summer Yue (Alignment Director at Meta) just <a href="https://x.com/summeryue0/status/2025774069124399363" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">shared</a> how she had to physically pull the plug on a Mac Mini to stop the OpenClaw agent from nuking her inbox. It completely ignored her typing “Stop don’t do anything” in the chat.
I literally just wrote about this exact failure mode.
Pleading with an agent in a chat window is for consumers. If an agent has execution rights, you don’t ask it to stop—you sever its access at the Command Layer.
If you are deploying AI agents without a hardcoded kill switch, you are gambling with your infrastructure.
