Whenever I am approached by an ideating human, I try to get them interested in building just the simplest sketch of their idea. If they’re not interested in figuring out the basic “how” or “why” of the “what” they “urgently” need created, chances are they haven’t really given it much thought. File under “Sure signs of a doomed startup.”

So if the developers come to you, you know you have good ideas.

I was approached by several idea people. I always ask them to write their idea down. If some one has an idea and doesn’t even want to put in the work to type it into a text file (and rethink it at the same time) they are not taking their role seriously and they will abandon the project when actual problems arrive. So far i received 0 ideas in written form.
