In 1992, four German college students founded S.u.S.E. to localize Linux distributions into German. The company rapidly progressed, contributing significantly to the development and localization of Linux software, and transitioning into enterprise solutions. SUSE Linux became notable for its partnerships with IBM, SAP, and other major companies, and for its continuous evolution with new releases and features. The company experienced several acquisitions and expansions, culminating in its merger with Marcel New Lux IV S.A. in November 2023.
