The foundations of Canva’s continuous data platform with Snowpipe Streaming

Canva leveraged Snowpipe Streaming to build a continuous data platform, significantly reducing their data processing costs by 45%. They transitioned from AWS Data Firehose to Snowpipe Streaming for better cost efficiency and to handle high data volumes. Integration with Kinesis Data Streams was key, allowing real-time data streaming directly into Snowflake tables. This approach has enabled them to process over 20.35 PiB of data in a cost-effective manner with minimal latency, optimizing their platform for scalability and performance.
