Google Cloud announced a wave of new features for Oracle Database@Google Cloud at Next '26. Key updates include expansion to 15 regions globally (Milan, Tokyo, São Paulo, Mumbai, and more), a preview of a Managed MCP Server enabling Gemini AI agents to interact directly with Oracle infrastructure, a new Oracle AI Database Agent in the Google Cloud AI Agent Marketplace, General Availability of Database Center integration for unified monitoring, Knowledge Catalog integration for metadata governance, OCI GoldenGate integration for real-time data movement to BigQuery, and VPC Service Controls for enhanced security. The goal is to connect Oracle enterprise data directly to Google Cloud's AI stack, enabling agentic AI workflows on mission-critical datasets.
