The Dark Side of Open Source

Dark side of open source, like the internet in general, is that it is open to anyone to use for anything. Hording ideas doesn’t work, no intellectual property rights when the license gives them up. No enforcement other than the enforcement of community members virtue signalling hoping to get jobs, so certain things are tolerated that the traditional economy dislikes (pirating media especially). But clearly there is no better way to innovate in software, things happen much faster and more meaningfully now.

I have one project that got like, 100 stars by now (there’s nothing compared to other projects), and I’m already having problems with a lot of people that just want to open issues and don’t even bother trying to help.
They post the issues and when you ask for more info you don’t even get any response, just put the issue there and wait for that to be fixed or implemented by other developers.
I can’t imagine what big projects with thousands of stars have to deal with, Gezz.
