I use WSL as my daily development driver, both professionally and in academia on top of an Arch distribution and I couldn’t be happier with it.
It’s great for your typical front end development setup and having the ability to display graphs from something like python’s plotly with WSLg is such a time saver.

If you use Windows for development then it is well worth your time taking a look at the Linux sub-system in my opinion.
