Z.ai just released their new GLM-5 model and it’s beating GPT-5.2 and Gemini 3 Pro on coding benchmarks.

It builds software autonomously and costs 1/20th of the big models. 

The biggest downside is that since it's open-source, you need a beast of a computer to run it.
