The Best Desktop Linux For Windows Users

2026 is the year of the Linux desktop! I said the same thing in the last 5 years but this time I’m 100% certain! My gut never lies!

Microsoft has been a massive inconvenience for PC users over the years. I hope when people customize and build their PCs, they stop using Windows altogether.

Linux is still not suitable for end users. Otherwise, I would have switched without a second thought. Even for the smallest tasks, I have to deal with too much configuration. Giving up the ease of Windows seems a bit difficult these days.

Definitely adding Zorin to my list of OSes to show to my students for my next introductory class of OSes.
On a different note, when it comes to UI, I am still waiting for one OS to not be so reliant on GUI, icons and all those other graphics invented over 30 years ago, and that have just been updated, reinvented, and polished again and again ever since.
