A series of experiments using gamma rays to probe wave-particle duality is described, conducted by Huygens Optics. Using a Radiacode 110 gamma ray detector and an americium source from a smoke detector, the experiments tested the inverse-square law for gamma radiation, measured temporal correlations between ray detections using two detectors and an Arduino, and demonstrated Compton scattering with a graphite block. The Compton scattering results — showing energy shifts dependent on scattering angle — provided strong evidence that quantization is intrinsic to the electromagnetic field rather than a product of field-matter interactions.
