Tesla invested $2 billion in xAI as part of the AI company's $20 billion Series E funding round, despite shareholders voting against the measure in November. The investment aims to enhance Tesla's physical AI and robotics capabilities, including its Optimus humanoid robot and autonomous systems, through a framework agreement for AI collaboration between the companies.
