Ten MIT students and alumni have accepted 2026-27 Fulbright U.S. Student Program grants to conduct research abroad. Recipients will work across countries including Spain, Denmark, Iceland, South Korea, Brazil, Sweden, Portugal, Romania, and Switzerland. Research topics span neuroscience, microbiology, AI applications in Arctic health, geophysics, robotics, energy systems, materials science, biomaterials, physics, and computational neuroscience. MIT was recognized as the top Fulbright-producing STEM institution in the U.S. this year, with 16 of 30 applicants receiving awards.
