TechPaula is building a second, slimmer revision of a custom 6502-based laptop called the LT6502b. The project features a 65C02 CPU running at 14MHz, 46KB of user RAM, EhBASIC, eWOZMON, Compact Flash storage, a 10.1" screen, WiFi modem, nanoSwinSID sound chip, and a 7400mAh USB-PD rechargeable battery. Improvements over the previous version include a single PCB for keyboard and logic, simpler case design (31mm vs 70mm height), USB-C for charge and data, and a battery level indicator. The project is a work in progress hosted on Codeberg, with graphics and text display now working, and keyboard/modem code still in progress. Detailed memory maps and peripheral address mappings are documented.
