DigitalOcean created a security-hardened 1-Click Deploy for OpenClaw (formerly Moltbot), an open source AI assistant. The deployment uses stable Git releases rather than latest code, implements TLS via Caddy reverse proxy with LetsEncrypt certificates, supports IP-based TLS without domain names, uses pairing for device trust, isolates agents in Docker containers to protect API keys and the host filesystem, and includes fail2ban and unattended upgrades. Currently requires a $24/month Droplet due to memory constraints during image creation, though optimization is ongoing. The Packer provisioning scripts are publicly available on GitHub.
