DigitalOcean created a security-hardened 1-Click Deploy for Moltbot, an open source AI assistant. The implementation uses stable Git releases rather than main branch, implements TLS via Caddy reverse proxy with LetsEncrypt certificates (including IP-based certificates without domain names), uses pairing for device authentication, isolates agents in Docker containers to protect API keys and the host filesystem, and includes fail2ban and unattended upgrades. The current minimum Droplet size is $24/month due to memory requirements during snapshot creation, though optimization is ongoing. The Packer provisioning scripts are publicly available on GitHub.
