AWS CloudFormation StackSets now supports dependency management through a new DependsOn parameter in AutoDeployment configuration. This feature enables orchestrated deployment of infrastructure across multiple AWS accounts and regions by defining up to 10 dependencies per StackSet. The implementation includes built-in cycle detection, cross-region support, and automatic cleanup. Organizations can now ensure foundational infrastructure like networking and IAM roles deploy before dependent applications, eliminating deployment failures from missing dependencies. Configuration is available through both AWS Console and CLI, with support for up to 100 dependencies per account.
