System76 has updated its Thelio Major workstation with a redesigned chassis manufactured in-house in Colorado. The new model supports up to a 64-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9980X, 256GB DDR5 ECC memory, NVIDIA RTX 6000 PRO Blackwell graphics, and up to 40TB of storage. Thermal improvements are notable: average CPU clock speed increased by 7%, CPU temperatures reduced by up to 17.9°C, and GPU temperatures reduced by up to 9°C. Pricing starts at $6,999 USD.
