A normal installation is fine, but when working with PyTorch, NumPy, or CUDA, there can be many dependency errors. You may need to create a new virtual environment, either using conda or pyenv, since uv is still unstable

One of the things I didn’t find in uv, that I really would love as a Python/TS developer, is the ability to have scripts like in a package.json kind of environment.
For example, running

I am using pkgx for managing different versions of programming tools

I think uv will be the build and dependency management for Python projects. Much better than pipenv, poetry, <a href="http://setup.py" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">setup.py</a>… And much faster.
