SUSE Advances Rancher Prime With Agentic AI Ecosystem and Unified VM-Container Management

SUSE announced updates to Rancher Prime and SUSE Virtualization at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2026. Key additions include Liz, a context-aware AI agent using Model Context Protocol to coordinate specialized agents for SRE and ops teams. A new Developer Access tier provides a curated catalog of 140+ enterprise-ready apps and virtual clusters with isolated Kubernetes control planes for GPU workloads. SUSE Virtualization gains NVIDIA Multi-Instance GPU support, VM Auto Balance, Live Storage Migration, and granular upgrade controls, positioning it as an open alternative to proprietary hypervisors.
