A global survey of 1,600 cloud, IT, and engineering executives conducted by Wakefield Research for Nutanix finds AI is a major driver of container adoption. 87% expect increased reliance on containers over the next three years, 83% are already building new applications in containers, and 85% believe AI is accelerating this trend. However, 82% say their current IT infrastructure is not fully ready to support AI applications. Key challenges include shadow AI use (79% encounter AI deployed outside IT), organizational silos, data sovereignty concerns, and infrastructure readiness gaps. Despite enthusiasm, organizations are taking a deliberate, measured approach to AI and container deployment.
