Istio 1.27 reaches end of life on March 30, 2026, six weeks after the release of Istio 1.29 on February 26, 2026. After that date, security fixes and critical bug backports for 1.27 will stop. Users are urged to upgrade to Istio 1.29 to avoid being caught without critical fixes.
