Researchers at Tsinghua University have developed a new volumetric 3D printing method that achieves print times under one second by rotating a high-speed periscope projector instead of the resin volume itself. This approach avoids the fluid instability issues of spinning liquid resin at high speeds and enables the use of lower-viscosity resins. The system also supports pumping printed results into a collection vessel, opening the door to scalable mass production. Algorithmic correction maintains micrometer-scale accuracy. The technology could eventually move beyond research labs into broader manufacturing applications.
