AI allows anyone to write code, and it turns into slow, bloated, and poorly optimized results (and more appear every day).
​AI is a tool that multiplies your capabilities, but when your skills are 0, the outcome is 0.
​AI is like your trainee: it needs your guidance.
​How would you know if it’s doing a great job if you don’t even understand what 100% perfection looks like for your goal? (and I’m not talking about how a UI looks…)
​Do you understand the output?
Can you analyze the output?
Does it align with your goal?
Are you able to explicitly tell and explain to the AI which is the correct way to approach it?
​And I’m not even talking about syntactically correct code.
​The ability to prompt is useful, but the ability to debug is essential.
​Learn, put in the work, and take the time to become better; then you will be able to get excellent outputs from AI.
​I don’t mean to offend anyone, this is the reality I see every day in the community. The final advice remains the same: whether you use AI or not, there is nothing better than having the ability to create beyond known limits, and programming is one of the few things that allows this.
​This message is not for people who cannot write code, since a bad result is better than no result.
