Rockstar Games has confirmed a data breach stemming from a security incident at Anodot, a data anomaly detection company. The ShinyHunters extortion gang claims to have stolen authentication tokens from Anodot's systems and used them to access Rockstar's Snowflake environments, exfiltrating over 78.6 million records. The leaked data reportedly includes internal analytics for GTA Online and Red Dead Online, covering in-game revenue metrics, player behavior tracking, game economy data, and Zendesk customer support analytics. Rockstar described the breach as involving 'a limited amount of non-material company information' with no impact on players. ShinyHunters claims dozens of other companies were also affected through the same compromised tokens.
