Drew DeVault shares his July 2022 FOSS development progress. For the Hare programming language, he added a strings::template standard library module and a new pixbuf library for pixel buffer operations, with plans for vector graphics and Wayland support. For the Helios microkernel OS, significant milestones include a PCI driver, AHCI driver for SATA disks, IRQ control for userspace, a keyboard driver, a DOOM port, and an e1000 ethernet driver for the RISC-V port. Upcoming work focuses on memory capabilities, process spawning, and the Mercury/Vulcan driver system.
