Drew DeVault shares his April 2019 progress across multiple open source projects. aerc2 (a terminal email client) now supports reading emails, filtering through arbitrary commands, HTML rendering via TUI browsers, and vim-style keybindings. A new interactive tutorial site git-send-email.io launched to teach the git email workflow used by major projects like Linux and gcc. Work on lists.sr.ht included mailing list import/export tools, moderation features, and infrastructure for Alpine Linux's potential migration. On the Wayland front, Sway continues bug fixes post-1.0, swaybg is being split into a standalone project, and a Wayland backend for Godot is nearly complete. Additional side projects include a self-hosted livestreaming platform and an early-stage C compiler toolchain called cozy.
