Stages of Using Linux

I use to be able to put a feet behind my head. But this day’s a mostly use Arch.

Ok, this is pretty accurate. 😂 I’ve been through most of those.
Distro-wise: I went from RedHat, Debian (in the 90s), Ubuntu, Gentoo (2000s), Arch, Fedora (2010s) back to Debian Stable. The tech evolved and I can get away with a Debian Stable install with Flatpak and chrooting when needed (it took me a while to realize that 🤣).
Personality-wise: I went from “normie” (90s), distro hopper (2000s), ricer (2010s) into what I’m today, which is: I use Linux to do everything, don’t hop distros, don’t customize the looks (with exception of a dark theme and some tooling to be productive). I don’t really see the point - I just want to get things done (and I can use Linux to do that).
Never went the “socks” way, as I don’t see the point of doing socks photos (but seriously I didn’t know it was a thing, not that I’m interested or anything 😁), nor am I interested in “virtual tulips” (basically an ecosystem that’s speedrunning the whole few hundred years worth of the current economical system mistakes - sorry, not sorry - that’s my take on cryptocurrencies 😘).

I had only 2 “stages” or rather I would call it I learned linux from I don’t have bloody idea what I’m doing to I know what I’m doing.
Never did distro hopping. Just started with Ubuntu and changed it 15y ago to Arch and stayed here. And not for customizable distro or having everything new and shiny. AUR is the only reason
