It became pathetic lately.
They were closing down instantly any topic I was opening for shitty reasons.

Happens when people call you an idiot for asking simple questions while AI would say “That’s a good question!”

Honestly I’m sad for them.
Stack overflow was a really great tool, it help me a lot.

Asked questions too many times to be hit with “well why are you doing this? you shouldn’t even have this issue…”. People don’t want to listen they want to hear themselves talk.
I can’t believe it’s true, but an LLM is a better listener than a human. That being said, you have to be careful with what it spews out. Not everything is gold; a lot of it is pyrite. Welcome to 2025 and the AI-era gold rush.

I stopped answering on Stack Overflow because good answers were downvoted constantly and even went into negative points for no reason given, even if the answer was correct. It became such a nasty environment full of nasty people. And when I asked the admins to look into one answer, they just said that the crowd has spoken, no need to do anything.
