A new number station designated V32 has appeared, apparently operated by the US military and targeting recipients in Iran. Broadcasting in Farsi from a base near Stuttgart, Germany, it transmits two two-hour blocks daily containing six 20-minute messages each composed of 5-digit groups. Several operational security slip-ups have been observed, including unencrypted transmission warning beeps from American military equipment, Windows 10 system sounds leaking into broadcasts, and occasional plain words mixed into the number sequences. Iran has repeatedly attempted to jam the signal, causing frequency changes. The station can be heard on USB just under 8 MHz.
