The Kubernetes Policy Working Group, now completed, focused on standardizing policy management across the Kubernetes ecosystem. The group developed the Policy Reports API, created whitepapers on policy management and compliance, updated Kubernetes documentation, and worked to educate the community on best practices. Key accomplishments included standardizing policy reporting across tools like Falco, Trivy, and Kyverno, and providing guidance on ValidatingAdmissionPolicy and MutatingAdmissionPolicy. The group collaborated closely with SIG Auth and SIG Security, operating as a temporary, cross-cutting initiative distinct from permanent Special Interest Groups.
