Spotify is expanding its AI-powered Prompted Playlists feature to Premium subscribers in the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and Sweden, following earlier rollouts in New Zealand, the U.S., and Canada. The feature lets users describe a vibe, mood, memory, or scenario in plain English, and Spotify generates a custom playlist drawing on listening history and cultural trends. Each song includes a short explanation for its inclusion. Users can refine playlists by adjusting prompts, and can schedule automatic daily or weekly refreshes. The feature is still in beta with usage limits in place. The expansion is part of a broader AI push at Spotify, which has also introduced features like Page Match, About This Song, and updated lyrics with offline access and translations.
