A developer shares two local, privacy-preserving tools to speed up AI-assisted development workflows. The first is Cotypist, a context-aware autocomplete app that uses a local LLM (Gemma 4B) to suggest text based on screen content without sending data to the cloud. The second is TypeWhisper, a local speech-to-text tool that lets you dictate prompts and text at 150-160 words per minute using local Whisper-based models. Both tools work system-wide across any app, can be configured to exclude specific applications or domains, and are verified to stay offline using a network-blocking utility called Radio Silence.
