Spanish police have dismantled the largest Spanish-language manga piracy platform, believed to be Tu Manga Online (TMO), which operated since 2014 and served millions of monthly users worldwide. The platform generated over $4.7 million in advertising revenue, largely through aggressive pop-up ads including pornographic content. Four individuals were arrested, and a raid uncovered a complex technological setup along with over $470,000 in cryptocurrency hidden in USB devices inside a wall thermometer. The suspect was also developing a second website, likely as a backup, which was prevented from launching.
