SOLID principles are not laws. They are great to be aware of and have in your toolbox but they are not cost free. Don't use or aim for SOLID in your apps but use them when appropriate and they ADD VALUE, don’t use them just to say your code is SOLID.

I was expecting to read arguments about a controversial topic but it was basically a tweet without any explanation.
Not really interesting…

it may not be a “law” but someone is gonna surely pay for it; hence the term “tech debt”.
imho, it is better to pay that debt at the start of the project than having to allot 2 or 3 months to refactor the code base because someone decided there is no value in following the principles.

I guess the project he is working on imposing SOLID principles on its code is frustrating him. Not sure what he thinks complaining in the form of complaining indirectly through proclaiming a contra-positive principle is going to do considering complaining changes nothing…
