Snowflake has announced the general availability of the Openflow Connector for Oracle, a fully managed, agentless CDC integration built in collaboration with Oracle. It uses Oracle's native XStream API to capture changes from redo logs without installing any software on Oracle servers, achieving P90 end-to-end latency under 2 minutes across 600 tables at 15,000 changes per second. During preview, Yes Energy reduced a 10-day table load to under 6 hours. The connector runs on Snowflake's Openflow framework, supports AWS and Azure commercial regions, and integrates with Cortex Code to simplify setup through a conversational workflow. It eliminates the need for third-party replication middleware and enables near-real-time Oracle data to feed Snowflake AI workloads.
