Snowflake is enhancing two products to serve both business users and developers building AI agents. Snowflake Intelligence gains natural language task automation, MCP connectors, reusable artifacts, an iOS app, and multi-step reasoning capabilities. Cortex Code expands to support external data sources like AWS Glue, Databricks, and Postgres, adds MCP and Agent Communication Protocol connectivity, a Claude Code plugin, and a new agent SDK with Python and TypeScript support. Analysts note the dual-sided approach targeting both business users and builders on a single governed data foundation is strategically differentiated, though many features are still in preview and Snowflake has yet to prove delivery at enterprise scale.
