Sneak Peek: Qt Robotics Framework (Proof-of-Concept)

Qt Group is previewing a proof-of-concept Qt Robotics Framework (QRF) that bridges ROS2 middleware with Qt's UI stack for building production-ready HMIs and simulation-linked control systems. QRF offers native URDF import, two-way DDS communication with ROS2 robots, strongly typed data handling, and Qt Quick 3D visualization. A Python-based exporter auto-generates QML 3D scenes from URDF files. The framework targets OEMs building robots, automation equipment, and HMIs, aiming to close the gap between rapid prototyping and production deployment in industrial robotics.
