SnapPoint is an open-source tool that audits developer machines by scanning global binaries, tracing their origins, and identifying ghost binaries, orphaned packages, and PATH conflicts. Rather than blindly uninstalling, it builds a system inventory first, then lets developers make informed cleanup decisions. Features include a 'Hunt' phase for system scanning, doctor mode for detecting broken symlinks and shadowed packages, cleanup recipes for full tool removal including config and cache files, and Snapfile exports for portable environment profiles. A TUI dashboard built with Go and Bubble Tea is on the roadmap.
