I’ve been experimenting with a new approach to building agent teams by combining a few existing tools in a different way.
As many of you know, solutions like Claude Code’s team agents can get expensive (up to ~4× more) and come with certain limitations.
I wanted something more flexible — the ability to choose my own models, plug in different tools, and stay in control of both cost and setup.
So I built an alternative that’s significantly more cost-efficient, adaptable, and works reliably in practice.
I’m planning to share it next week as an open-source project (built on top of other great open-source tools).
The goal is give teams a way to reduce costs and build more flexible, scalable workflows without unnecessary constraints.
