MIT.nano's START.nano accelerator program welcomed 16 new hard-tech startups in 2025, more than doubling its previous year's cohort. The program offers early-stage companies discounted access to MIT.nano's shared fabrication and research facilities, plus entry into the MIT innovation ecosystem. The new cohort spans diverse deep-tech domains including semiconductors, quantum computing, energy storage, carbon capture, brain-computer interfaces, genetic sequencing, and advanced materials. START.nano now counts over 32 active companies and 11 graduates, with 49% of all participants founded by MIT alumni.
