OVN Interconnect now includes a transit router (TR) component that automates multi-availability zone routing configuration. Previously, connecting independent OVN deployments required manual management of logical routers, ports, and tunnel keys across zones—a tedious and error-prone process. The new TR feature uses global databases (IC-NB and IC-SB) and per-zone daemons to automatically create logical routers, synchronize configurations, and allocate tunnel keys from a global pool. This eliminates manual configuration work and reduces deployment errors when connecting multiple availability zones.
