Librario is an open-source book metadata aggregation API written in Go that combines data from Google Books, ISBNDB, and Hardcover into unified responses. The project solves the problem of fragmented book information across different sources by using field-specific merging strategies with priority-based sorting. It includes intelligent title scoring that penalizes formatting issues, automated cover image quality assessment, and a PostgreSQL database that improves over time. The project is currently in pre-alpha, AGPL-licensed, and the database layer is being professionally rewritten before v1.0 release.
